I do have 2 other computers (both laptops) that seem to not have any issues at all with opening files directly from the DropBox folder. I saw another DropBoxer that had been advised to uninstall/reinstall DropBox to fixed same type of issue (although this user was only noticing 7-10 second delays), so I tried that. I had thought it was because of how many files I had in my DropBox Camera Uploads Folder, so I moved about 20,000 photos to different folders that weren't synced on this computer (essentially deleting them from this computer's DropBox Directory). Note: Administrative rights are required on your computer to install the Dropbox client using the Dropbox installer. I'm having issues opening files from the DropBox folder.įor example :: if I Double-click on a notepad file(.txt) it takes almost 2 minutes to open(I just timed it at 1:46 to open a 3KB file).
